Meet Dolly

Meet Dolly. She is the newest member of our kitty crew. We now have four cats: Lucy, the indoor cat. She is psycho. Literally. Peanut and Moe, our outside cats, are okay. They're good for killing rodents and running in the house when the door is left open. And now Dolly. She's the one with the good story and the best personality.
Dolly is a survivor. We found her on the streets and rescued her from a sad, sad, life. Well, kinda. So, my sisters and I were shopping for my parents' Christmas presents and we had to run by the Dollar Store. Christina and Rebekah ran in and Jessica and I waited in the car. While we were waiting we spotted the cutest little stray kitty! When Christina and Rebekah came out, Christina saw it too. She thought it was so cute she thought it would be okay if she called out to it and put it in our van. We were officially in love. The whole way home Christina cradled the kitty saying, "I love you kitty! I love you so so much!" told them there was no way we could take it home and that we would just drop it in a field close by, at least that would be better than a parking lot.

When we got home Christina called my dad outside and showed him the kitty. "Merry Christmas," she said, "we named her Dolly."

My dad rolled his eyes and told us to just wait until our mom got home. She wasn't the happiest camper I'd ever seen. Butttt here it is, 13 days into the New Year and Dolly is sitting on the couch, happy as a hyena (I'm not sure that was the greatest simile).
