Okay, so the plan was to only do this thing once a week, but it is too fun and way too much stuff happens around here not to blog!
You will find in all my blogging about my family that things are, most of the time, a little more than crazy, but you will also find that everything is for the glory of the Lord. So this is what happened (I was not there, so this story is as told to me by my mom): Last night my family of six was in five different places, which explains why I was not present, though I wish I had been. My mom and Christina were getting groceries, Jessica was at school for academic team practice, Rebekah was at Grandmama's working on a t-shirt quilt, my dad was at home watching Star Trek, and I was out with Justin. I know.... whoa.
Well, on the way home from Walmart my mom says to Christina, "You know Christina, in this economy, things would be much easier if your dad made more money. I wish he could get another job." (Okay, so not those words exactly, but you know, I'm improvising). Little did my mom know that while my dad was sitting at home on the couch watching "Star Trek: The Final Frontier" he received a phone call from a local tool and die shop...
This is how it went down when my mom got home:
As soon as my mom walked through the door, Dad told her he had great news: He was offered another job at the tool and die shop!!! Not only that, but he will be able to keep his job he has now and work at the other place in the afternoon, and they are paying him by his own quote... that's stinking awesome! So what does my mom do? She starts dancing! Right in the middle of the kitchen (must be where we get it from haha).
God is soooo good to us. He heard my mom on the way home from Walmart, but that was not what got my dad the second job, God knew in advance what we would need and He prepared this job for my dad. We are so blessed! And just crazy enough about Jesus to dance about it :)
