Do I know a whole lot about Osama bin Laden? No.
Do I know what bad things he did? Some, yes.
Am I rejoicing that he is dead? No.
Please don't tell me that justice has been served or that Osama got what he deserved for destroying the lives of many Americans, cause guess what? If we all got what we deserved we would all be dead. Justice died on the cross two thousand years ago for my sins. When I deserved death, I was given a chance to live and to live more abundantly. So no, I'm not rejoicing. It saddens me that no one stepped up to the plate and showed the world what Love really is.
THANK YOU for writing this. I've read posts or comments by other Christians who have alluded to slightly similar ideas but even those have still implied or said that they're glad he's not alive any more. I'm not. I'm glad they FOUND him and I'm glad he won't hurt anyone now, but there would have been other ways to stop him without killing him. And terrorism isn't going to stop because of this. I don't agree with murder, no matter what, and I'm glad to have finally come across someone else who shares that view. Thanks, Anna.
ReplyDeleteNo problem! I was so frustrated last night by the reactions of so. many. people. Christian people, nonetheless. I'm glad you share the same feelings. You are definitely not alone.
